The Power puts out The Man’s lights…

Revenge was sweet for Phil Taylor, as he overcame Raymond Van Barneveld in a brilliant darting battle at the World Grand Prix in Dublin.

It was another sensational exhibition of darting excellence and when Taylor hit the winning double eight, he went ballistic on the stage?.That is how much this win meant to the Unicorn legend, after losing to Barney at both the UK Open in Bolton and Las Vegas Desert Classic.

It was a quite amazing atmosphere inside the venue and both players responded. Taylor admitted he had to pull out all the stops to clinch his 3 sets to 1 victory.

?What a great player Barney is. That 120 finish to make it two legs each in the final set, was something else?.quite brilliant!? he said.

Barney was magnanimous in defeat: ?He is the best in the world,? the Dutchman said. ?The man is just unbelievable and I can?t wait for the next one!?

Taylor was so focused from the first dart and Barney certainly brought the best out of him. ?Ray inspires me. I strive to get better but what a match and what an experience!?
