The young darter from Stoke is full of confidence and feels that he has what it will take to win the 2008 Premier League title.
He told BBC Radio Stoke: “I certainly think I can win it. It’s my aim to keep winning and to get into that top four.”
“It’s important to get at least four wins in the first half of the season; then you’re not relying on other people to do you a favor later on.”
Lewis, who lost to practice partner Phil Taylor in his last outing, said the league format of the competition allows players to bounce straight back.
“It’s a different kind of preparation to a tournament that could be all over within a few days.
“The games are shorter and faster and that’s great for the fans. It’s a fantastic competition,” he added.
So far in the match, Lewis has one win, one loss, and one draw.
