World Darters Come to Atlanta Georgia for Inaugural Peachtree Open Tourney.

From Planet Darts

The inaugural PDC Pro Tour event in Georgia will see several leading names from the PDC – headed by Stan James World Matchplay champion James Wade, world number four Terry Jenkins and Colin Lloyd – travel to America.

Also heading across the Atlantic will be a host of players vying for positions inside the top 32 as well as the likes of Darren Webster, Vincent van der Voort, Michael van Gerwen and Tony Eccles who are seeking to break into that group.

They will be joined by the leading American stars, such as John Kuczynski, Ray Carver, Bill Davis and Las Vegas Desert Classic quarter-finalist Gary Mawson.

American-based Steve Brown – a veteran of PDC tournaments in the 1990s – makes a welcome comeback onto the circuit when he meets Dan Zimmerman in round one, while his emerging namesake from Bristol also travels to America for the event.

Kuczynski has drawn top Canadian Dan Olson, while another intriguing USA-Canada clash pits Jim Widmayer – the furthest American in May’s PDC US Open – against Ken MacNeill.

The format will be the best of five sets, best of three legs per set throughout.
