Simon Whitlock won the Goulburn Workers Club Open today defeating Brian Roach in the final 6 legs to 0
Roaches performance to get to the final was quite outstanding hitting 4 maximums in a very high scoring game with Steve Macarthur that would have seen both players throw well over a 30 Average.
In the other Semi Simon was to Strong for Shane Haddy in the best of 9 game with Shane taking 3 legs from an otherwise invincible Whitlock in warmup for tomorrows all important Grand Prix Event.
Simon had to overcome Stiff opposition in the quarters in a tough game with Barry Jouannet that could have gone either way.once again both players were throwing in excess of a 90 Average.Simon commented he is happy with his form after just returning from Holland and is very much looking forward to tomorrows Grand Prix Event

Simon Whitlock continued his run of good form in his push for Victory in the Australian Grand prix with a convincing 6-0 Win over Russell Stewart In Todays Final in Round 4 of the Parktrent Properties Group Australian Grand Prix held at the Goulburn workers club.

Simons push to the final came with Victories over Mark Jobson in the round of 16 ,Followed by Glenn Power in the Quarters and Barry China Jouannet in the semis while Russell overcame Fellow ACT player Jamie Browne , Paul Cotton and Steve Macarthur in the semis to reach the final

It was a fine performance from Rusty throughout the day,winning a sudden death playoff off a board filled with names Including Jamie Cotton,Pee Wee Botterill,Jason Hobson and Barry Jouannet.

Simons Victory now sees him on 30 points ahead of this weekends upcoming Double Points Parktrent Australian Grand Prix to be held at the Oak Flats Bowling and Recreation Club.This Event may well see The wizard sew up his Ladbrokes place just 5 rounds into the Grand Prix Season.
