Van Barneveld sweeps past Manley

Raymond van Barneveld produced an outstanding display to beat Peter Manley 7-0 and win the Keukenconcurrent Masters of Darts title in Holland.

Manley had defeated Van Barneveld in the group stages before recovering from 5-3 down in his semi-final against Mervyn King.

But he had no answer to the Dutchman’s power scoring and superb finishing.

The PDC world champion controlled the match from start to finish and ran out a comfortable winner.

Van Barneveld took the first set 3-0, hitting an 11-darter in the second leg to break Manley’s throw and then landing two maximums in the third.

He then secured the second set by taking out 60 in the deciding leg with two darts.

The first two legs of the third set went against the throw but Van Barneveld eventually regained his touch at double 16 to move three sets up.

Some superb play against the throw saw the home favourite win the fourth set 3-0, and he hit three maximums in the first three legs of the fifth to lead 2-1 before a brilliant 171 left him a 94 finish, which he completed in two darts.
