Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall is to host a groundbreaking week-long darts tournament. Players from both sides of the divide in professional darts will compete against each other for a top prize of £60,000.
In a major coup for the city, players from the Professional Darts Corporation and British Darts Organisation will clash at the Civic Hall from November 17 to 25 in the Grand Slam of Darts competition.
The 32-man field will feature finalists from the last two years of major tournaments from the rival organisations.
PDC chairman Barry Hearn said: ?This tournament will be a chance for the champions of this sport to do battle in a high-profile event.
?For the first time in the modern era of darts, champions from both sides of darts? divide will meet on the oche to discover the greatest of them all.?
