TWO-TIME World Champion Dennis Priestley swept aside Germany’s Bernd Roith in straight sets to win through to the second round of the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship on Thursday night.

The veteran 60-year-old, appearing in his 21st World Championship, dropped just two legs in seeing off the German debutant to set up a tasty second round clash with Gary Anderson after Christmas.

BDO Champions Set to Converge at Lakeside

The 2011 BDO Lakeside World Professional Darts Championships will commence at the Lakeside Country Club, Frimley Green, Surrey on Saturday January 1st through Sunday January 9th, 2011.

This year’s Lakeside World Professional Men’s Champion will receive a cheque for £100,000, and the women’s World Champion will receive a record-breaking £10,000 as the total prize fund increased to £329,000 – making it the richest ever in the history of the most prestigious Championships in World Darts.

Players from over thirty countries around the globe have competed for the right to be in the final field of 32 men and 8 women in the BBC televised Championships.
