Phil Taylor “Powers” over Martin Adams
Phil Taylor will add another World Darts Trophy to his mantle after sending Martin “Wolfie” Adams home with a second place finish. Adams played professional level darts, but as is often the case Taylor gave a glimpse of darts on a higher level still. Averaging 34.08 per dart, Taylor never let Adams get closer than being 4-2 down.
Taylor won the opening set without a reply from Martin, and would have been 2-0 ahead, but narrowly missed hitting a bullseye on a 127 finish, and Adams took advantage by taking the set.
The third set went to Taylor, without a reply from Adams, and a missed double by Adams cost him the fourth set with Taylor now at 3-1.
The fifth set saw Taylor move up with a 4-1 lead, but Adams battled back and won the sixth set making the game 4-2.
The seventh set went 3-0 in Taylors favor, and the final set and victory also went to Taylor.
Phil will take home 45,000 Euro (30500 Pounds).

WDT Semi Final Action sees Taylor in great position to win the tourney!
Phil Taylor brushed past Ronnie Baxter 6-0 in an awesome display of darts, averaging just under 108 in the first semi final.
Martin Adams seemed to have the edge after going up 2-0 against young hotshot Michael van Gerwen, but the dutchman battled back bringing the score to 4-4. Adams stood his broud and showed some very steady scoring to finish the game at 6-4. Van Gerwen has been very impressive in not only this tourney but also in other tournament matches as of late in his career, and a final round against Phil Taylor would have been cracking, but a Martin/Taylor matchup will be interesting as well.
