Mark “Webby” Webster will make his debut in the Welsh capitol tonight, taking on Jelle Klaasen in a challange match in front of 3,500+ fans.

Denbighshire Free Press:

‘Hawaii 501’ Wayne Mardle has been withdrawn from the remainder of the Premier League Darts season after again being rushed to hospital through illness.

In order to create four fixtures at each of the remaining Premier League nights, a series of challenge games were drawn up, featuring the next two players from the PDC rankings as well as three former BDO world number ones.

Robert Thornton challenged James Wade in Aberdeen, while Yorkshire’s Dennis Priestley and world number seven Adrian Lewis appeared at the Sheffield Arena.

Tonight it’s the turn of Mark Webster as he is first up against Jelle Klaasen in the battle of the former Lakeside world champions.

Webster will be joined by his fellow PDC newcomer Gary Anderson, who will take on John Part in another challange match.
