Darts All Stars Bridge the Divide in Grand Slam of Darts

DARTS fans in Wolverhampton are being warned to ‘catch Phil Taylor while you can!’

That’s the message from PDC Chairman Barry Hearn ahead of November’s PartyPoker.com Grand Slam of Darts, to be held at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall from November 14-22.

Taylor, shown above after winning the 2008 Grand Slam of Darts title, will headline the show in the 32-player event, which features champions of major darts tournaments over the past two years and is screened on ITV.

Taylor Tops Jenkins 18-3 to Take World Matchplay Win

PHIL `THE POWER` Taylor continued his dominance of the 2009 PDC Darting calendar by winning the stanjames.com World Matchplay Championship by beating Terry Jenkins 18-3 in Blackpool last night.

It’s the tenth time the man from Stoke has won the tournament, and he will now be looking towards the Grand Slam and the World Championship to complete his year.

Looking Past Stan James World Matchplay: What Will the Premier League Look Like?

WITH the Stan James World Matchplay now in full swing, players won’t just be thinking about immediate success in the tournament, but about gaining the ranking points required to gain a Premier League spot when the competition kicks off again in February next year.

The top six in the PDC order of merit gain automatic places, with the corporation then granting two `wildcard` entries to the players they believe will make the biggest impact, which this year went to Jelle Klaasen and Wayne Mardle (both affectively finished bottom although Mardle’s results were wiped due to illness).
