Whoever stepped into the National Indoor Arena yesterday evening in Birmingham to take on Phil Taylor certainly wasn’t who I expected. I was under the impression it was supposed to be Raymond Van Barneveld.
Unfortunately the Dutchman failed to produce, and as a result got battered 8-2, and thoroughly deserved aswell. Phil Taylor faces the toughest of matches to kick off the second half of his campaign when he takes on Raymond Van Barneveld at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham on Thursday evening.
The pair are both in good form, and the match will certainly be a little more difficult to predict this time around, whereas their first encounter seemed to be a banker Taylor win after his triumph over the Dutchman in the World Championship Final at the Alexandra Palace in January.
