PHIL TAYLOR booked his place in the 888.com Premier League Darts play-offs with an 8-2 defeat of Terry Jenkins at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena on Thursday.
The reigning Premier League Darts champion completed a ninth straight victory since his opening-day defeat to Adrian Lewis with a stylish display – and warned the World Champion that he is out for revenge when they meet in Birmingham next week.

ADRIAN LEWIS and Terry Jenkins won places in the semi-finals of the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship on Saturday afternoon, defeated Vincent van der Voort and Wes Newton in thrillers at Alexandra Palace.
Lewis welcomed in the New Year with 13 180s in a superb 5-2 win over Dutchman van der Voort, who had overcome last year’s runner-up Simon Whitlock in the third round but was punished for missed doubles early in the contest.

Wade dropped only three legs in his opening three games, defeating Robert-Jan Bartels, Sam Allen and Jelle Klaasen, before producing strong finishes to see off Mark Walsh 6-5 and Alan Tabern 6-4.

Wade had lost his first three games, but his 8-5 victory over Terry Jenkins at the Trent FM Arena saw him jump into the top four.

Taylor, the reigning champion in the £250,000 event, was pushed to deciding leg by Jenkins before prevailing 8-7 to set up a quarter-final with Colin Lloyd on Sunday.
Jenkins led Taylor 4-3 midway through the contest, but a 160 finish helped the world number one to regain the lead, and he proved too strong as the game went to a deciding leg.
