GARY ANDERSON claimed his first televised PDC title with a glorious 10-4 victory over Adrian Lewis in the 888.com Premier League Darts, as Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld suffered Wembley heartbreak.

Anderson followed up an 8-6 semi-final victory over van Barneveld with a sensational display in the decider, taking leads of 4-0 and 9-1 before walking off with the £125,000 first prize.

Lewis had won through to his first Premier League final with a stunning 8-3 defeat of reigning champion Phil Taylor in the semis, but failed to recapture the form as Anderson prevailed.

Lewis Grabs Spot in Premier League Play Offs

ADRIAN LEWIS secured a spot in the 888.com Premier League Darts Play-Offs in dramatic fashion, snatching a draw against Gary Anderson in his final league match at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle.

Lewis looked set to coast into the semi-finals when he took a 5-2 lead against the Scot – who hit back brilliantly with five straight legs to move 7-5 up.

Barneveld Takes Place in Premier League Playoffs

RAYMOND VAN BARNEVELD secured a place in the 888.com Premier League Darts Play-Offs with an 8-4 win over Gary Anderson at the BIC in Bournemouth, as Adrian Lewis put one foot into the top four.

Dutch ace van Barneveld had missed out on a top-four finish in last year’s Premier League for the first time since he joined the PDC in 2006, but a seventh win of this season means he will compete for the £125,000 title at the Wembley Arena.

(Way too late) Premier League Update! :-)

PHIL TAYLOR eased to victory over Gary Anderson in the battle of the 888.com Premier League Darts’ top two at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on Thursday, but the race for places in next month’s Play-Offs intensified as Adrian Lewis jumped back to fourth in the table.

Taylor picked up his 11th straight win this season with a comfortable 8-3 defeat of second-placed Anderson, who is now assured of a top-four finish despite his loss.

Phil Taylor avenged his only defeat in this seasons Premier League with an 8-3 victory over World Champion Adrian Lewis in his 100th Premier League game. Both players averaged over 100 but Taylors 107.45 comfortably trumped Lewis 100.89. The result guaranteed that Taylor will finish in one of the top two spots in the league while Lewis is in the fight for a play-off spot in sixth place.

PHIL TAYLOR booked his place in the 888.com Premier League Darts play-offs with an 8-2 defeat of Terry Jenkins at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena on Thursday.

The reigning Premier League Darts champion completed a ninth straight victory since his opening-day defeat to Adrian Lewis with a stylish display – and warned the World Champion that he is out for revenge when they meet in Birmingham next week.

Whitlock works magic in Aberdeen

GARY ANDERSON, Simon Whitlock & Phil Taylor turned on the style to thrill a sell-out crowd for Thursday’s 888.com Premier League Darts at the AECC in Aberdeen.

Anderson delighted his Scottish supporters by hitting seven 180s in an 8-3 win over Terry Jenkins which kept him four points behind league leader Phil Taylor, who averaged 107.07 in an 8-1 defeat of Mark Webster.

Those displays, though, were surpassed by an exceptional performance from Simon Whitlock, who equalled the record for 180s in a Premier League game with eight and averaged 107.93 in defeating Raymond van Barneveld 8-5.

Wizard Looking to Keep Down The Man

SIMON WHITLOCK is aiming to take revenge on Raymond van Barneveld when the pair meet in the 888.com Premier League Darts in Aberdeen on Thursday.

Van Barneveld produced one of the Premier League’s finest displays when the pair met in Nottingham in the second week of this year’s tournament, hitting four ton-plus finishes in an 8-3 defeat of Whitlock.

The Australian, though, could move level with van Barneveld on ten points in the Premier League table with a victory at the AECC in their clash.

POWER CUTS OUT WHYTE & MACKAY PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS PLAY-OFFS

THE Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts play-offs were cancelled at the Wembley Arena on Sunday night following a power cut in north London.

The £410,000 event was due to conclude on Sunday night with the semi-finals, third place play-off and final of the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts in one session.

REIGNING champion James Wade qualified for the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts play-offs and denied Ronnie Baxter a tilt at the title as the league phase of the tournament ended in Nottingham on Thursday.

Wade had lost his first three games, but his 8-5 victory over Terry Jenkins at the Trent FM Arena saw him jump into the top four.
