Taylor bounced back from Saturday’s loss to Gary Anderson in the final by claiming the £6,000 first prize 24 hours later at Wigan’s Robin Park Tennis Centre – copying his achievements a fortnight ago in Wigan.

GARY ANDERSON completed a Speedy Hire UK Open double over Phil Taylor, claiming a 6-2 win when the pair met in the Qualifier Seven final at Wigan on Saturday.
Anderson had defeated Taylor to win Qualifier Five a fortnight ago, and repeated the feat with a fine display to take the £6,000 title, also avenging Thursday’s 888.com Premier League Darts loss to the Stoke legend at the same time.

PHIL TAYLOR eased to victory over Gary Anderson in the battle of the 888.com Premier League Darts’ top two at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on Thursday, but the race for places in next month’s Play-Offs intensified as Adrian Lewis jumped back to fourth in the table.
Taylor picked up his 11th straight win this season with a comfortable 8-3 defeat of second-placed Anderson, who is now assured of a top-four finish despite his loss.

PHIL TAYLOR defeated Joe Cullen 6-1 to win the sixth Speedy Hire UK Open Qualifier at the Barnsley Metrodome on Sunday.
Taylor claimed his first PDC ProTour win of the year, and a £6,000 first prize, with a comprehensive win in the final, going one better than he had in Saturday’s event when he was defeated by Gary Anderson.
Bradford youngster Cullen had won through to his first professional final with some brilliant displays on home ground in Yorkshire, but saw Taylor gain revenge for a Players Championship defeat in Killarney last October in the decider.

GARY ANDERSON won the fifth Speedy Hire UK Open Qualifier, defeating Phil Taylor 6-4 in the final at the Barnsley Metrodome in an event which featured two nine-dart finishes.
Scottish ace Anderson claimed his first victory over Taylor since the 2007 World Darts Trophy final with the triumph, averaging almost 108 in a brilliant display in the decider.
Anderson – last year’s UK Open runner-up in Bolton to Taylor – enjoyed three whitewash victories during the day, against Simon Craven, Mark Stephenson and Colin Osborne.
