BDO: Wolfie Will Battle The Count, O’Shea Sends Fitton Out

Martin Adams faced another tight match to earn his spot in the Lakeside semi-final rounds when he and Gary Robson met in a 5-4 thriller.

Peterborough Today:

The 52 year-old – the highest remaining seed in the tournament – waltzed into a 3-0 lead before Robson roared back to level.

The pair then traded sets before Adams scrambled across the finish line in a fraught finale to set-up a semi-final battle against big pal, pairs partner and former world title holder Ted ‘The Count’ Hankey today.

The winner of the Adams-Hankey match will go on to face Tony O’Shea who booked his place in the finals by pulling himself to victory against Darryl Fitton earlier today.

O’Shea looked to be the clear winner in the match when he pulled off to a 5-2 lead, but the scrappy Fitton dragged out doubles to pull himself back to 5-4. He almost leveled the match, but missed double top with three darts allowing Silverback O’Shea to close the win with a bullseye that ended the match.
