Peter Robertson and Wayne Weening (left) have both represented Victoria at the highest level in darts and have played each other on many occasions. On this occasion it was Weening who dominated. Twelve months ago Weening played in the 2006 final but had to forfeit to Eddy Sims half way through due to heat exhaustion. This year Weening easily accounted for Robertson winning 6 – 1. Nether player had maintained his semi final form but Weening was able to hit enough doubles at the right time to claim the title. Weening last won this event back in 2004. Weening averaging 22.18 and Robertson 22.19.
