O’Shea Takes Scottish Open Tournament Win

O’Shea came from his recent loss in the final round of the Lakeside World Championships to take the title at the Scottish Open tournament in Renfrew.
O’Shea beat Martin Atkins of Sheffield in a 5-4 back and forth final.
From the Stockport Express:
O’Shea looked to be cruising at 4-1 up, only for Atkins to rally and level the scores at 4-4. However, O’Shea, who picked up £2,000 in prize money for his efforts, produced a stunning 12-dart winning leg to take the trophy.
O’Shea beat Welshman Martin Phillips 4-2 in the semi-finals, and before that Ian White 3-2 at the last eight stage.
O’Shea has been on form since the end of 2008, which saw him loose an agonising battle with Ted Hankey, the Lakeside Champion.
Although long rumored to be a potential PDC defector, O’Shea has thus far remained in the BDO darts organisation and being on top of his game may not have any ambition to make a move at the moment.
